It is ideal in a child's bedroom, above a desk, or in an entryway where you are looking for a decorative object rather than just a light source.

General installation rule: in a child's bedroom, mount it out of reach, at least 1.80 m above the floor, so that the resin flowers remain intact.

Material, finish, and care

Clean the resin with a soft, barely damp cloth. Do not use solvents or alcohol, as they may dull the finish. The floral details collect dust: use a soft brush, such as a makeup brush, to remove it without risking damage to a petal. Wipe the glass dry.

Bulb and installation

One G9 pin bulb, not included, with a 5 W incandescent or LED equivalent output. The wattage is deliberately low: Meluna creates an ambient glow rather than illuminating an entire room. The manufacturer does not specify the wiring method: check it upon delivery before drilling.

Frequently asked questions

What colors can be ordered?

Three, and all three are available: white, purple, and yellow. White blends into a light-colored wall and emphasizes the three-dimensional effect. Yellow and purple make a bold statement and work best on a plain wall that does not compete with the flowers.

What is a G9 bulb?

A small two-pin bulb that is pushed into the socket rather than screwed in. G9 LEDs are available in 2 W or 3 W versions, providing an output close to the 5 W specified for incandescent bulbs. Choose warm white to preserve the soft tones of the resin.

Is Meluna suitable for a child's bedroom?

Yes, this is one of its best uses, provided it is mounted out of reach. Resin is sensitive to impacts, and the petals are delicate. Mounted high, it provides a decorative nightlight, which can be supplemented with an overhead light for general illumination.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

No, the manufacturer explicitly states that it is intended for dry indoor use and does not provide an IP rating. Without this information, avoid installing it in any room where water is used. Reserve it for a bedroom, study, entryway, or hallway, away from steam and splashes.

Learn more

Discover the floral designs in our wall light collection.
