The manufacturer states it is 62 cm high, 28 cm in diameter, and protrudes 14 cm from the wall.

The socket is listed as E12 or E14; the bulb is not included.

Technical specifications

Stated dimensions: 28 cm diameter, 14 cm protrusion, 62 cm height

Frame: iron

Lampshade: fabric

Shades listed by the manufacturer: antique color and white

Version available to order: only one to date

Socket: E12 or E14; in France, choose E14

Bulb: not included

Where to install this wall light?

The 62 cm height requires clear vertical wall space: above a bedside table, along a bedroom wall, or in an entrance hall with a high ceiling. The 14 cm protrusion remains modest, allowing it to be placed near a bed without obstructing the passage.

General installation rule, to be adjusted in your home: at the bedside, place the bottom of the lampshade slightly above the shoulder of a person sitting in bed, so that it illuminates the book without the bulb entering the field of vision.

Material, finish and maintenance

The frame is made of iron, and the lampshade is made of fabric. The manufacturer lists an antique color and white, but only one version is available to order today. Dust the fabric dry with a feather duster or soft brush, and wipe the metal with a dry cloth without household products.

Bulb and installation

Allow for a small screw-in bulb, not supplied. The manufacturer states E12 or E14: these are two similar designations depending on the market, and in France the standard reference is E14. Measure the housing before buying a bulky LED, as the lampshade is closed at the top. The wall light connects to a wall cable outlet.

Frequently asked questions

What bulb to choose for Alvuvyi?

A small screw-in bulb, E14 for the French market, not supplied with the wall light. A warm white LED remains the most comfortable choice behind a fabric lampshade. Check the size of the chosen bulb: large-diameter globe models do not fit well in a lampshade closed at the top.

What shade do you receive when ordering Alvuvyi?

The manufacturer lists two shades for this model, an antique color and white, but only one version is currently available to order on the product page. We prefer to state this rather than lead you to believe there is a choice. To find out the exact shade before ordering, our customer service team can check it for you.

Is Alvuvyi suitable above a headboard?

Yes, provided you have the height: the wall light measures 62 cm. Placed on either side of a bed, it replaces a bedside lamp and frees up the nightstand. The 14 cm protrusion is enough to clear the lampshade from the wall without encroaching on the passage around the bed.

Can it be placed in a bathroom?

The manufacturer does not publish any protection rating for this model. Without a rated IP, installation in a damp room cannot be validated, and a fabric lampshade does not handle steam well. Reserve Alvuvyi for dry rooms: bedroom, living room, entrance hall, corridor, or landing.

To go further

See also all our wall lights.
