The IP65 rating allows for direct exposure to rain, making it also suitable for a building facade, the side passage of a house or the frame of an entrance door. The stated coverage area ranges from 5 to 10 m2.

General installation rule: along an outdoor walkway, mounting it between 1.80 and 2.20 m above the ground helps prevent glare as you pass by. On either side of a door, align the two wall lights at the same height as the upper handle.

Material, finish and maintenance

The metal body has a silver finish and the shade is made of glass. Rinse the shade with clean water once or twice a year to remove dust and rain marks, then wipe with a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive products on the finish.

Bulb and installation

Ray uses an E27 LED bulb, which is included with the light fixture. It is powered via a cable, at 110 to 240 V. The wall light requires assembly upon delivery. Outdoors, the connection must be made through a weatherproof outlet by an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Ray wall light rain-resistant?

Yes. The manufacturer states an IP65 rating, which corresponds to protection against water jets and dust. It can therefore be installed without an awning, on an exposed facade or fence. The connection remains the sensitive point: it must remain watertight and protected behind the mounting plate.

Is the bulb included with the light fixture?

Yes, the technical sheet indicates that an LED bulb for an E27 socket is included. There is therefore nothing else to buy upon delivery. If you replace it one day, choose another E27 LED and check that it is rated for use in an enclosed luminaire.

What do models B, C, D, E, F and H differ in?

These are the six versions available to order. They share the same technical base: metal and glass, silver finish, IP65 rating and E27 socket. Refer to the visuals on the sheet to compare the silhouettes before choosing, as geometry is what distinguishes these versions.

Can Ray be connected to a dimmer?

No. The sheet indicates a non-dimmable model without smart controls. To soften garden lighting, prefer several light points controlled by separate circuits, or an outdoor timer placed upstream on the line. A dimmer installed despite this would risk causing the included LED to flicker and shortening its lifespan.

For more

Compare the sizes in our selection of wall lights.
