Flanking an entrance door, two fixtures neatly frame the threshold.

General installation rule: 1.90 to 2.10 m above the ground near a door, so that the curve remains visible without dominating the facade. Installing it under an eave limits limescale deposits on the glass, even though the IP65 rating allows for exposed installation.

Material, finish, and maintenance

The glass shade requires more frequent cleaning than the metal: rain leaves visible marks as soon as the light is turned on. A soft cloth and clear water, without limescale products, restore its transparency. The manufacturer states that the metal body is corrosion-resistant.

Bulb and installation

The COB LED is integrated into the light fixture: there is no socket to power or bulb to choose at the time of purchase. It is hardwired to a fixed power supply, and assembly is required upon delivery. The manufacturer explicitly recommends that an electrician perform the installation.

Frequently asked questions

Is the glass resistant to frost and heavy rain?

The fixture is rated IP65, which covers water jets and driving rain on an exposed wall. The manufacturer emphasizes the weather resistance of this metal and glass fixture. To limit deposits and marks, a partially sheltered location is still easier to maintain.

How does it differ from a model with a metal shade?

A metal shade blocks the light and reflects it in a sharp beam. Here, the glass allows some of the light to pass through, softening the transition between the illuminated area and the dark wall around it. The effect is more diffused, though the transparent surface requires slightly more frequent maintenance.

Can it be used on an interior wall?

Nothing technically prevents it: an IP65 rating far exceeds the requirements for a dry room. However, the manufacturer positions it as an outdoor model and lists the garden and hallway. In a covered hallway or conservatory, it will therefore perform its role perfectly without any particular constraints.

White or black on a light-colored facade?

On light-colored plaster, the white version almost disappears, leaving only the arc of light visible. The black version, by contrast, highlights the curved silhouette and transforms it into a graphic detail, day and night. Both versions share the same metal body and glass shade.

Learn more

Compare sizes in our selection of wall lights.
