The width remains 5 cm, allowing for repeated strips.

General installation rule: a door-framing strip should be mounted approximately 1.70 to 2 m above the ground, with two strips placed on either side of the opening.

Material, finish and maintenance

The body combines stainless steel and acrylic in a black finish. The IP 65 rating protects against splashes but does not allow immersion. Rinse with clean water and dust the solar panel: its cleanliness determines the charging efficiency.

Bulb and installation

No bulb needs to be purchased: the LED is integrated and the energy comes from the solar panel, with no mains connection. The light is switched on and off using the remote control supplied with the fixture. Installation is limited to mounting the strip and positioning the panel.

Frequently asked questions

Is Aurvelyra resistant to rain?

The manufacturer states an IP 65 rating, described as splash-proof, with one explicit caveat: do not immerse. Therefore, heavy rain on a facade is within its intended use. However, flood-prone locations, pond edges, and cleaning with a high-pressure jet should be avoided.

Which height should I choose between 30 and 100 cm?

The wattage increases with the height: approximately 9 W at 30 cm and 30 W at 100 cm. For a simple entrance marker, the 30 and 40 cm versions are sufficient. To effectively illuminate a walkway or patio wall, the 60, 80 and 100 cm versions provide a much more prominent strip of light.

How long does it shine once night falls?

The battery life depends on the energy accumulated during the day, and therefore on the panel's actual exposure. The manufacturer does not provide a fixed duration and links performance to positioning. A south-facing facade without shadows will last longer than a north wall sheltered by an awning.

Do I need an electrician to install Aurvelyra?

No. The manufacturer describes operation without a direct electrical connection, with energy coming from the solar panel. The work is limited to mechanical mounting on the facade and placing the panel in a sunny area. Choose wall plugs suitable for the support material, such as brick, concrete or plaster.

Learn more

Discover other facade and garden lights in our wall light catalog.
