The manufacturer describes the black finish as textured.

The solar panel is featured in the product name, and the stated power source is solar. At just one kilogram, it can be mounted on a solid wall.

General installation rule: approximately 1.90 to 2.10 m above the ground near a door, so that the disc remains above eye level. As with any solar model, choose a position with unobstructed exposure rather than a wall under an overhanging roof.

Material, finish and maintenance

The acrylic is described as insulating, which reduces the risk of electrical contact on an exposed light fixture. The glossy metal highlights the texture of the black finish. A soft, dry cloth is all that is needed; avoid abrasive sponges, which can dull the glossy finish.

Bulb and installation

The lighting uses an SMD LED, which is a surface-mounted chip rather than a screw-in bulb: there is nothing to buy or replace yourself. The manufacturer explicitly recommends that installation be carried out by an electrician and states that assembly is required. The warm light is fixed and not dimmable.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does the sensor on this model do?

The manufacturer mentions a sensor but does not specify how it is triggered. On a solar wall light, such a component is usually used to turn the light on at dusk. In the absence of information about motion detection or a timer, it is best to assume that it turns on automatically at dusk.

Warm light or neutral light for a garden?

This model emits a warm light, with an amber-yellow tone. Outdoors, this colour complements stone, wood and plants, and attracts slightly fewer insects than cool white. It is suitable for patios and the exterior of the home; neutral light is better suited to technical access areas.

Can it be exposed to direct rain?

Yes, the stated IP65 rating protects against water splashes and jets, allowing it to be installed on a wall without roof protection. However, this rating does not mean it can be submerged: avoid placing it in an area that could be flooded, such as a low wall in a poorly drained part of the garden.

Why are the dimensions not guaranteed to the millimetre?

The manufacturer states that its pieces are measured by hand, with a stated tolerance of 1 to 3 cm. For a standalone wall light, this difference will not be noticeable. It will be more apparent if you are aligning several discs at regular intervals: in this case, use the pieces you receive to mark out your positions rather than relying on theoretical measurements.

For more options

Other shapes and materials are available in the wall light catalogue.
