Outdoors, the rectangular bar can be mounted horizontally above a gate or garage door to spread light across the width of the entrance rather than creating a round pool of light on the ground.

General installation rule: 2 m above the ground over an opening, 1.90 m along a path. The connection of an outdoor circuit must be carried out by an electrician, as specified by the manufacturer.

Material, finish, and maintenance

The acrylic diffuser is weather-resistant but may become cloudy if exposed to solvents: simply rinse with clean water and wipe with a soft cloth. For the black metal, check the fixings once a year, as frost and heat can loosen the screws on the front.

Bulb and installation

The bulb is supplied with the wall light, one per model, and the power depends on the length selected: 15 W for the 20 cm model, up to 48 W for the 91 cm model. The color temperature can be chosen when ordering: warm or natural. The connection is made via a cable to a fixed waterproof outlet.

Frequently asked questions

Which length should I choose for a gate?

The 91 cm version highlights the width of a double gate without multiplying the light sources. The 66 cm bar is suitable for a single gate or garage door. The 20 and 38 cm sizes are better suited to an entrance door, courtyard wall, or indoor hallway.

Warm light or natural light outdoors?

Warm light softens a stone or wooden facade and remains discreet in the garden at night. Natural light provides a clearer finish, useful for illuminating an outdoor staircase. Each length is available in both color temperatures, which can be specified when ordering.

Is IP65 sufficient for heavy rain?

Yes. The second digit, 5, indicates resistance to water jets from a hose, which more than covers rain driven by the wind against an exposed wall. The first digit, 6, indicates complete protection against dust. Immersion, however, is not covered by this rating.

Can it be installed in an indoor hallway?

Yes, the manufacturer states that it is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use and expressly mentions the hallway. Indoors, the bar can be mounted either horizontally or vertically to add rhythm to a long wall. The IP65 rating is therefore simply a convenience, with no installation restrictions.

Learn more

Browse the models designed for the garden in our selection of wall lights.
