The 9 cm height does not change from one size to another: only the width varies, which keeps the same visual line on a wall.

General installation rule: align them between 1.90 and 2.20 m on a facade, with a spacing of 2.50 to 3 m so that the beams correspond. The large 30 cm model is reserved for wide sections.

Material, finish and maintenance

The housing is made of solid aluminum, matte black or white, with an IP65 rating and stated resistance to corrosion. Rinsing with clean water once a year removes rain deposits. Do not scratch the seals, which ensure water resistance.

Bulb and installation

The source is an SMD chip LED, integrated into the housing: no bulb to buy. The power depends on the size, from 6 to 20 W, in warm white 3000 K. The wall light is not dimmable and is controlled by a wall switch, under 110 to 275 V.

Frequently asked questions

What size Matio for a facade?

Compare the width of the wall light to that of the wall. The 11 cm marks a service door or a narrow pillar. The 17 cm is suitable for most facades. The 30 cm, at 20 W, is reserved for large wall sections or covered outdoor corridors.

What does a CRI over 90 bring to the outdoors?

A color rendering index over 90 faithfully reproduces the real shades. At night, a wood cladding keeps its honey tone, a stone its beige, a plaster its original shade, where a mediocre LED pulls them towards gray. It is a facade criterion.

Is Matio resistant to frost and dust?

The stated IP65 rating guarantees total protection against dust and resistance to low-pressure water jets, therefore to driving rain. Solid aluminum is presented as immune to corrosion. The wall light can thus be installed on an unshielded wall, without an awning above.

Does the double beam illuminate the ground enough?

Half of the flux goes downwards, which illuminates the base of the wall for one to two meters depending on the installation height. This is enough to secure a passage. If the goal is to illuminate an entire alley, lower the wall light or multiply the light points.

To go further

Browse our wall light catalog.
