Diffusing light both up and down, the cylinder is suitable for walkways where you want to illuminate the ground without leaving the upper part of the wall in darkness.

General installation rule: frame a side door with two wall lights 2 m above the ground, one on each side, rather than a single point above the lintel.

Material, finish, and maintenance

Ribbed acrylic has a known drawback: dust settles in the bottom of the grooves and dulls the diffusion. A soft brush or low-pressure water spray does the trick, unlike a cloth, which slides over the ridges. The black base, meanwhile, only requires a dry wipe.

Bulb and installation

The SMD LED source is provided and integrated into the cylinder: no bulb to buy or replace. The power supply is hardwired to a fixed output. The manufacturer states that assembly is to be completed during installation and recommends entrusting the connection to an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

What purpose do the stripes on the diffuser serve?

According to the manufacturer, they serve two purposes: to enhance protection of the light source and to break up the point of light. A smooth cylinder reveals the LED as a harsh line, while a ribbed surface distributes the glow across the entire area. The result is more comfortable to look at up close.

What does the advertised beige light mean?

This is the manufacturer's description of the effect achieved through the acrylic: a distinctly warm white, consistent with the stated color temperature. On a light-colored render, the facade takes on a cream hue. No Kelvin value is published for this model.

Do you need one or two wall lights for a veranda?

The manufacturer states that each wall light covers 5 to 10 m², but this is only a rough estimate. On a narrow veranda, a single point above the entrance is usually sufficient. For lengths greater than three or four meters, two evenly spaced wall lights provide much more even illumination than one.

Does the model work without connection to the electrical panel?

No, this model is hardwired only, with no solar panel or battery. An electrical supply is therefore required at the installation point. If the intended wall is far from any existing wiring, it is better to consider a solar version from the same family rather than running a power supply.

For more information

Compare the integrated light sources in our wall light catalog.
