Its low profile makes it a discreet marker on either side of a door.

General installation rule: allow 1.90 to 2.10 m from the ground near an entrance door, and mount it slightly higher on a gate pillar to widen the covered area.

Material, finish and maintenance

Transparent glass shows dirt more visibly than an opal diffuser: traces of rain and limescale are immediately apparent. A barely damp microfibre cloth is sufficient, without acidic products that would attack the seals. The manufacturer states that both the metal and the glass are resistant to the elements and ultraviolet rays.

Bulb and installation

The SMD LED is integrated into the luminaire and supplied with it: there is no screw-in bulb or spare bulb to provide. The power supply is via cable, so on a fixed outlet to be prepared before installation. Assembly takes place at the time of installation, which the manufacturer recommends entrusting to an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

What does the IP65 rating stated on this model protect against?

The first digit corresponds to protection against dust, the second to resistance to water jets. An IP65 enclosure therefore withstands heavy rain and runoff on a wall without an overhanging roof. It is the expected rating for an exposed facade, an open gable end or a fence wall in the wind.

Can you see the light source through the transparent glass?

Yes, that is the principle of this diffuser: the glass remains clear and the LED can be seen inside. The result is more graphic than with an opal globe, but the light point is also more pronounced in the field of vision. Place the wall light above eye level to avoid direct glare.

Can it be fixed to a gate pillar?

The manufacturer provides for installation on a wall or column, which covers a masonry pillar. The point to be settled beforehand remains the cable entry, as this model does not have an independent power supply. Therefore, provide the conduit and the waterproof outlet before drilling, especially if the pillar is far from the electrical panel.

Do you need to buy a bulb with this wall light?

No. The SMD LED light source is supplied and integrated into the luminaire, and the package contains a complete set. The technical sheet also mentions compatibility with LED, incandescent or fluorescent sources, but no socket is indicated: in practice, you have nothing else to buy.

To go further

The rest of the range can be explored in our wall light catalogue.
