Outdoors, the crystal comes into its own on a dark wall, where the facets stand out. Indoors, it is best placed hanging, on either side of a mirror or console.

General installation rule: place the axis at approximately 1.65 m from the floor when the light frames a mirror, and mount it at around 2 m if it marks an outdoor entrance.

Material, finish and maintenance

The crystal should be dusted dry, facet by facet, because it is the sharpness of the edges that creates the desired effect. A gray deposit is enough to dull the reflections. The base is available in gold or black: gold accentuates the warmth of the light, black highlights the crystal more.

Bulb and installation

The SMD LED source is integrated and delivered with the light fixture, for a maximum of 5 W. No bulb needs to be screwed in. The connection is hardwired to a fixed point, to be prepared according to the chosen finish: remember to check the tightness of the mounting plate, as the weight rests on a single base.

Frequently asked questions

Should I choose the black or gold base?

Both finishes cover the same model and do not change the source or the protection rating. The gold base pairs with light-colored plaster and warm woodwork, while the black one disappears on a dark facade and leaves the crystal alone visible. The choice is made at the time of ordering.

Can it really be placed outside with crystal?

The manufacturer declares an IP65 rating and states a water-resistant material, which covers rain and runoff. The point of vigilance is not the sealing but the dirt: outdoors, the facets collect dust and pollen more quickly, and then lose their luminous relief.

What effect do the lit facets produce?

The polyhedral cut reflects the light in small areas rather than a uniform wash. On a nearby wall, this creates light patches and marked edges. The effect is especially visible at night and on a matte surface: a very textured wall blurs it, a smooth plaster renders it better.

Does this light accept a dimmer?

No, the data sheet indicates a non-dimmable reference. On a dimmer, the source risks flickering or not starting at a low level, and its electronics will wear out prematurely. If you are looking for adjustable intensity, you should aim for a model stated as dimmable rather than forcing this one.

To go further

Other volumes to see in our selection of wall lights.
