The manufacturer states that the lamp shines downwards, with one side of the housing slightly longer than the other.

The body is made of metal, the shade of acrylic, and the finish is black. It is a practical option above a courtyard door, along a garden path, or on a pillar. The manufacturer also lists the entrance, bedroom, and workplace.

General installation rule: 2 to 2.30 m above the ground along a path, so that the downward beam covers the width of the walkway. The IP65 rating allows for installation on a wall without an overhanging roof, so the location should be chosen based on use rather than available shelter.

Material, finish, and maintenance

The manufacturer describes rust- and corrosion-resistant metal combined with acrylic for the diffusing part. On a curved surface, dust settles mainly in the hollow: rinse with clean water in spring, then dry to prevent rings on the black paint.

Bulb and installation

The socket is an E27, the most common screw-in base, which leaves the choice of light source to the user when replacing the bulb. The manufacturer states a 3000 K LED, which is a warm white. Installation is described as simple, with screws and expansion wall plugs supplied with the light fixture.

Frequently asked questions

Which E27 bulb should I choose for outdoor use?

Stick with a 3000 K E27 LED to achieve the warm white stated by the manufacturer. Check that the bulb can withstand the temperature fluctuations of outdoor use, information found on its packaging. An LED produces little heat, which protects the acrylic shade placed directly above it.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

Yes, the IP65 rating far exceeds the minimum required near a water source, and the manufacturer lists the bathroom among the possible uses. However, always respect the safety clearances defined by electrical standards, which depend on the distance from the shower or bathtub.

What is included in the package for mounting?

The manufacturer states that the screws and expansion wall plugs required for assembly are supplied, and describes the installation as accessible. It remains to be checked that these wall plugs are suitable for your mounting surface: a solid wall, hollow concrete block, or cladding each requires different fasteners. Electrical connection should be carried out by an electrician.

Does the light shine upwards?

No, the manufacturer states that the lamp shines downwards. The beam therefore descends along the wall and creates a halo on the ground rather than illuminating the lintel. If you want to highlight a cornice, you need a different model, oriented upwards or with dual output.

Learn more

View the entire range in our collection of wall lights.
