This makes it suitable for a patio where you want to create an atmosphere, rather than for illuminating a staircase for safety.

General installation rule: install it about 2 m above the ground so that the globe remains out of direct view. If you align several, a regular spacing of 2 to 3 m creates a clear sequence of light along a wall.

Material, finish and maintenance

Acrylic is lightweight and does not shatter like glass, which is reassuring in busy areas or near a playground. However, it scratches more easily: use a clean microfibre cloth and soapy water, and avoid solvent-based products.

Bulb and installation

The light source is an SMD LED already installed in the luminaire and supplied with it. No bulb is required, now or in the future. The wall light requires assembly before installation. For the wired version, the manufacturer recommends having the electrical connection carried out by an electrician; the solar version can be installed without an electrical connection.

Frequently asked questions

What distinguishes styles A, B, C and D?

The manufacturer's data sheet only lists these four letters without describing how they differ. The images on the product page are therefore the best reference for comparing the shapes. In all cases, the stated specifications are the same: metal and acrylic, LED included, IP65, and a choice between wired and solar.

Does an acrylic globe yellow in the sun?

Plastic materials exposed to south-facing sunlight will change over time; this is a general fact, and the manufacturer does not state that this model has any UV protection. A partially sheltered location, under an eave or on a north-facing wall, will significantly slow this deterioration and preserve the original colour for longer.

How many wall lights should you plan for a patio?

The manufacturer recommends one wall light for every 5 to 10 m². For a 20 m² patio, two to four light points will provide even illumination. It is better to use several soft light sources spread across the walls than a single isolated wall light, which would create a very bright area and dark corners.

Is the model suitable for coastal areas?

The stated IP65 rating covers dust and water jets, not salt corrosion. The manufacturer does not provide any information about enhanced protection against sea air. In coastal areas, rinse it with fresh water several times a year and check the fixings, as they are the first parts to corrode.

For more options

Browse the round shapes in our wall light catalogue.
