The height you choose determines the effect, from a subtle light marker to an 81 cm line that structures the façade.

General installation rule: 2 m above the ground on either side of a door, or 90 cm along a path. The larger versions should be installed higher up, with the centre of the profile at around 1.80 m.

Material, finish and maintenance

The solid aluminium is treated to resist corrosion and is available in black or white. The white finish shows water streaks more readily. Rinsing with clean water once or twice a year is sufficient; do not use abrasive sponges.

Bulb and installation

The LED is integrated, with a rated life of 50,000 hours, and the colour temperature can be chosen when ordering from 3000, 4000 or 6000 K. The universal power supply accepts 90 to 260 V. A dimmable version is available by special order: contact our customer service team before ordering.

Frequently asked questions

Which Cavto height should I choose?

The 9.7 cm version provides discreet guidance lighting, for example along an outdoor staircase. The 20.5 and 41 cm versions frame an entrance door. The 61 and 81 cm versions become architectural lines on a large façade. The power increases with size, from approximately 2 W to 24 W.

Which colour temperature is best for outdoor use?

The warm 3000 K colour complements stone, brick and wood; it is the most common choice for homes. The neutral 4000 K colour is suitable for concrete or grey render. The distinctly cool 6000 K colour is reserved for technical or security applications. The colour is fixed when you place your order.

What does a wall-grazing beam mean?

The light emits from both ends of the profile and grazes the wall instead of shining straight ahead. The wall becomes the illuminated surface: its contours, joints and texture are highlighted by the grazing light. Glare is minimal because the light source remains out of sight.

Can it be installed without a cover?

Yes. The IP65 rating guarantees protection against low-pressure water jets, including heavy rain, and complete protection against dust. The treated aluminium body is frost-resistant. However, avoid immersion and pressure washing, as these exceed the protection provided by this rating.

For more options

See the façade lights
