On either side of a mirror, in a dressing room, along a hallway, or above a console table, its small size remains clearly visible without feeling cluttered.

The stated weight of 3 kg requires secure fastening. On plasterboard, use an expansion anchor rather than a simple plastic wall plug.

General installation rule: when framing a mirror, position the center of the light fixture approximately 1.60 to 1.70 m above the floor; above a console table, lower it to approximately 1.50 m.

Material, finish and care

The body is made of brass with a copper surface finish achieved by polishing followed by plating. The crystal is cut and fired. A plated finish should be cleaned dry or with a barely damp cloth: do not use polishing cream or abrasive sponges, as they will wear away the surface layer down to the metal.

Bulb and installation

Zorinaris accepts a maximum 15 W E14 bulb operating at 110 to 240 V AC. No transformer or external driver is required. It is controlled by a push-button switch. Regarding dimming, the manufacturer recommends choosing the appropriate bulb: only a dimmable bulb allows for varying light intensity.

Frequently asked questions

Can the light intensity of Zorinaris be varied?

The manufacturer states that dimming depends on the installed bulb: a dimmable E14 bulb makes this function available. A dimmer switch must also be installed at the switch. With a non-dimmable bulb, the light will only be fully on or off, regardless of the wall-mounted device.

Which 15 W E14 bulb should I choose?

Stay within the stated 15 W limit. For LEDs, this power is more than sufficient for a 22 cm light fixture and produces a bright light. A warm-white E14 LED highlights the crystal, as reflections stand out better than with a cool tone.

Does the copper finish tarnish?

It is a surface finish achieved by plating a brass body. When properly protected, it does not oxidize like bare copper, but it remains sensitive to abrasion. Simply dusting it dry maintains its shine; metal polishing products should be avoided.

Is Zorinaris suitable for a narrow hallway?

Yes, and this is one of its ideal uses. With a diameter of 12 cm, it remains close to the wall and does not obstruct the passage. Its height of 22 cm also allows it to be repeated along a long wall, provided that each light has its own cable outlet and a fastening method suitable for its 3 kg weight.

Learn more

Compare metal finishes and crystals in our wall sconce collection.
