The crystal elements are mounted on a brass frame with fixed wiring.

The design is directional, and the angle is not adjustable. A tall entrance hall, staircase well, or large living room wall will provide the necessary space. The fixed orientation is an important consideration: determine which way the light should shine before ordering.

General installation rule: for a light fixture of this size, allow at least 2.50 m of ceiling height and centre the fixture approximately 1.70 m above the floor.

Material, finish and care

Dust the crystal dry, element by element, when the lamp is switched off and cool; microfiber prevents marks. Brass does not tolerate common household products well: a soft cloth is sufficient, and any polishing cream risks damaging the surface finish.

Bulb and installation

Citalos takes an E12 bulb, also known as a candelabra base, in LED or filament version. The power supply accepts 110 to 240 V AC. The wiring is fixed: the lamp connects to a cable outlet and is switched on from a wall switch, not supplied.

Frequently asked questions

What does the Citalos set of two include?

It contains two lamps packaged together, one left-hand version and one right-hand version, for symmetrical installation. You can also buy the left-hand or right-hand lamp separately if you only need one side. The dimensions and materials are the same in all three cases; only the orientation differs.

Where can I find an E12 bulb in France?

The E12 socket, with a 12 mm screw thread, is common on crystal light fixtures and is available in LED version under the name candelabra base. Do not confuse it with the E14, which is more widespread on the European market: one cannot be screwed into the other. Check for the E12 designation when purchasing.

Can the lighting angle of Citalos be adjusted?

No. The manufacturer states that the lamp is designed with a fixed angle and direction, without any adjustable parts. The direction of the light is therefore determined when ordering by choosing the left-hand version, the right-hand version, or the set of two to cover both directions.

How much weight should I allow for the wall installation?

The manufacturer does not provide a weight, but a crystal assembly measuring 35 by 55 cm remains a substantial light fixture. Allow for fixings suitable for the actual support—concrete, brick, or plasterboard with reinforced anchoring, rather than lightweight wall plugs—and have the mounting point inspected.

For more

Compare large-format fixtures and crystals in our full range of wall lamps.
