In a living room, it should be placed above a low sofa or on either side of a fireplace. The 35 cm version fits well in an entryway with a high ceiling.

General installation rule: position the center of the wall light approximately 1.70 m above the floor on a living room wall, and at least 30 cm above the back of a sofa so that the crown remains visible.

Material, finish and maintenance

The crystal is cut and then polished; its facets collect dust more quickly than smooth glass. A feather duster or soft brush, when the light is switched off and cool, will restore its brilliance. The gold-finished steel is oven-baked: avoid abrasive sponges that could scratch the surface.

Bulb and installation

No bulb is required, as the LED is integrated. However, the manufacturer states that a transformer is required: this unit fits behind the base or in a recessed box and must remain accessible. The 5 kg weight requires mounting on a solid wall or a support frame.

Frequently asked questions

Which version should I choose, 25 or 35 cm?

The 25 cm version, 32 cm high, is suitable for a wall between two openings or as a pair flanking a piece of furniture. The 35 cm version, 40 cm high, stands alone on a large wall and provides approximately 25 W instead of 20 W. Measure the available wall width before deciding.

Warm white or cool white for a living room?

In a living space, warm white around 3000 K remains the most comfortable option in the evening and complements the gold finish of the base. Cool white, close to 6000 K, creates harsher crystal reflections and is better suited to an entryway. As the LED is integrated, this choice is made when ordering.

Can the crystal project reflections on the wall?

Yes, that is the nature of cut crystal: the facets disperse the light and create highlights on the adjacent wall. The effect is more pronounced with cool white light and on a light-colored wall. If you are looking for even lighting, consider adding supplementary lighting.

Do I need an electrician to install it?

The required transformer, the 5 kg weight that needs anchoring, and the 110 to 240 V connection all suggest installation by a professional. They will check the support's load-bearing capacity, house the unit in an accessible space, and connect the push-button switch upstream.

Discover more

Discover the statement pieces from our wall light collection.
