In other words, it is suitable for a hallway, landing, entrance, or covered and enclosed balcony protected from rain and sea spray. An exterior wall exposed to the elements requires a higher protection rating.

General installation rule: in a hallway, space the light fittings 2 to 2.50 m apart and place the centre of the wall lights approximately 1.80 m above the floor, so that the bell remains above eye level.

Material, finish and maintenance

Everything is made of metal, including the shade. The copper and aluminium finishes react differently to light: the former warms the colour cast reflected off the interior wall, while the latter keeps it neutral. Clean with a soft, dry cloth and use a non-abrasive product for stubborn marks.

Bulb and installation

The SMD LED is supplied with the wall light, without a standard socket to fit. The power supply accepts 110 to 240 V and is hardwired to a fixed outlet; the cable is not adjustable. Assembly is required before installation. The manufacturer recommends hiring an electrician for the connection.

Frequently asked questions

Can this model stay outside all year round?

No. The manufacturer specifies indoor use and an IP20 rating, which offers no protection against rain or splashes. On a balcony, installation is only possible under a canopy, in a closed and dry space. For an open patio or garden wall, an outdoor-rated light fitting is required.

Which of the four finishes should I choose?

Black and grey blend into understated hallways and stand out little against the wall. Copper adds a warm touch that stands out against light-coloured paint. Aluminium gives a more technical and neutral look. All four share the same metal construction and LED light source: only the appearance changes.

How many wall lights are needed for a hallway?

General installation rule: one wall light every 2 to 2.50 m provides continuous light without pronounced shadows. With an advertised illuminated area of 5 to 10 m² per light fitting, a 6 m hallway will therefore require approximately three light points. Align them at the same height and on the same side to maintain a regular rhythm.

Is the bell dazzling when you walk underneath?

As the shade is opaque and enclosed downwards, the light source remains hidden unless you stand directly beneath the wall light and look up. By installing the light fitting at approximately 1.80 m, the beam shines down along the wall, providing comfortable grazing light in the hallway.

For more

Explore our full range of wall lights.
