It is as much to be admired as it is to provide light, embracing wit rather than subtlety.

It measures 22 cm wide by 32 cm high and is available in two versions: black and yellow.

Technical specifications

Dimensions: 22 cm wide, 32 cm high

Body: metal

Materials: metal and resin

Available versions: Model A in black and yellow, Model B in black and yellow

Installation: fixed wiring

Socket: E26 or E27

Bulb: 40 W incandescent or LED equivalent, not included

Dimming: compatible with a dimmer, not included

Where to install this wall light?

A figurative wall light should be placed where it will be seen up close and often: a child's bedroom, a stairwell wall, or an office. At 22 by 32 cm, the design remains clearly visible from the other side of a standard-sized room.

General installation rule: in a child's bedroom, mount it approximately 1.50 m above the floor so that the silhouette is visible whether you are standing or sitting, and remains out of reach of younger children.

Material, finish and care

Cast resin should be cleaned with a soft, barely damp cloth, without solvents or abrasive powders that could mark the surface. The contours of the design trap dust: a soft brush removes it more effectively than a cloth. The metal body should be treated in the same way.

Bulb and installation

A screw-in bulb, not included, with an E26 or E27 fitting and a 40 W incandescent or LED equivalent. An LED is preferable here, as it generates little heat near a resin piece. The wiring is fixed: connect to a cable outlet, without a cord or plug.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Model A and Model B?

Both available versions share the same black and yellow colour palette and differ in the position of the dog. Choose the version that best suits the direction in which the silhouette should leap across your wall, using the photos on the product page as a guide before ordering.

Is it suitable for a child's bedroom?

The design is well suited to a child's bedroom, provided it is mounted high enough to remain out of reach and the fixed wiring is installed by an electrician. An LED is preferable, as it feels cooler to the touch than a 40 W incandescent bulb in a small room.

Can resin withstand the heat of the bulb?

The manufacturer does not specify a maximum temperature. As a precaution, use an LED equivalent to the stated 40 W, approximately 5 W, which dissipates significantly less heat. Avoid halogen bulbs, as their surface reaches high temperatures.

Can several be installed side by side?

There is no technical reason why not, as each wall light has its own fixed connection. On the same wall, two examples of Models A and B complement each other. Leave at least one metre between them so that the two silhouettes are seen separately rather than as a frieze.

For more inspiration

Discover the figurative shapes in our selection of wall lights.
