The manufacturer also recommends the living room, where it provides supplementary lighting.

General installation rule: above a headboard, allow 1.40 to 1.50 m from the floor so that the light shines down on a book without shining directly into your eyes. For a pair, align both wall lights with the edges of the mattress.

Material, finish and care

The gold finish reflects a slightly amber light that enhances the warm white of the LED. In contrast, the black version absorbs reflections and remains discreet on a dark wall. Dust the metal with a soft cloth and clean the acrylic with a microfiber cloth only, without abrasive products.

Bulb and installation

The socket is an E27, the most common type in France, and the warm white LED is supplied with the wall light. A future replacement will therefore be easy to find. Installation requires quick assembly followed by connection to a fixed cable outlet, which should be checked by an electrician.

Frequently asked questions

Black or gold finish in a bedroom?

Black adds structure to a light-coloured wall and blends into graphic décor. Gold provides a warm reflection that complements wood and linen, and remains visible even when the light is off. Both versions emit the same warm white light, so the choice depends entirely on the look.

What kind of light can you expect from this model?

The manufacturer states that both finishes provide warm white light, meaning a yellowish shade similar to an old incandescent bulb. Combined with the acrylic shade, it provides soft lighting, suitable for the end of the day or reading in bed rather than detailed work.

Can it be ordered with a dimmer switch?

The manufacturer does not state that this model is compatible with dimming, so it is not recommended. However, the E27 socket is standard: if you want to vary the intensity, install an E27 bulb explicitly stated as dimmable at a later date and check the dimmer model with your electrician.

Is a dedicated electrical outlet required?

Yes, a fixed cable outlet in the wall, as the power supply is hardwired rather than plugged in. The cable length is not adjustable, so you must mark out the installation height precisely before drilling. Hire an electrician if there is no power supply point at this location.

For more options

Browse bedroom lighting in our selection of wall lights.
