Mounted above a bedside table, it illuminates a book without disturbing the person next to it. Above a desk, it replaces a table lamp and frees up workspace.

General installation rule: approximately 1.20 to 1.40 m above the floor next to a bed, or 50 to 60 cm above the mattress, and approximately 1.50 m above a work surface. Allow 20 cm of clearance on either side for the corolla.

Material, finish and care

The white ceramic is crafted with scalloped edges: the undulations catch the light and create soft shadows on the shade itself. The wall rose features an antique-style beaded design. Solid brass develops a natural patina; wipe it with a dry cloth, and the ceramic with a well-wrung damp cloth.

Bulb and installation

The manufacturer states that the light is warm white by default and controlled by a standard wall switch, operating at 220 V. It does not specify the socket type or wattage: we will confirm both before shipping, so you can purchase the correct bulb if it is not included.

Frequently asked questions

Does Grizok provide enough light for reading?

It is designed for that purpose. The flared corolla directs a wide beam downwards while concealing the light source from view, and the manufacturer states it covers an area of 5 to 10 m². Mounted 50 or 60 cm above the mattress, it illuminates a page without spreading light throughout the entire bedroom.

How far does the Grizok wall light project?

The arm measures 15 cm, with a wall base measuring 12 cm in diameter and a shade measuring 18.5 cm. The entire fixture therefore projects significantly from the wall, making it suitable for a headboard or desk, but requiring caution in a narrow passageway.

Is Grizok suitable for a bathroom?

The manufacturer classifies it for indoor use and lists the bedside, desk, and reading nook, without mentioning a wet zone or IP rating. We therefore recommend it only for dry rooms. For a bathroom, choose a model with a stated rating of at least IP44.

Will the brass on Grizok develop a patina?

Yes, that is the nature of solid brass: its golden hue darkens slightly over the years and takes on a more matte appearance. This change is natural and is not a defect. A soft dry cloth preserves its shine; a brass cleaner revives it, but also removes the acquired patina.

Discover more

See other ceramic fixtures in our selection of wall lights.
