applique-murale-ceramique-et-laiton-pulse
Ceramic and Brass Wall Light - Pulse

Pulse: ceramic mounted on a brass base

Pulse is a ceramic and brass wall light measuring 18 cm wide by 13 cm high. The body is made of brass, with ceramic completing the design in either a brass or white finish. Its wide, low format creates a compact object that sits close to the wall.

The ceramic provides a matte surface that is less reflective than glass.

Technical specifications

Dimensions: 18 cm wide, 13 cm high

Body: brass

Materials: brass and ceramic

Finishes: brass, white

Connection: fixed wiring

Socket: E26 or E27

Bulb: 40 W incandescent or LED equivalent, not included

Dimmer: compatible, dimmer not included

Where to install this wall light?

Its compact 18 cm by 13 cm design is ideal for walls where a tall wall light would be in the way: above a headboard, along a hallway, at the end of an entrance, or above a low console table. The matte ceramic prevents harsh reflections in a relaxing space.

General installation rule: mount it 1.20 m to 1.30 m above the floor over a bed or low piece of furniture, and 1.70 m high on a wall in a walkway. With a width of just 18 cm, two units can easily be spaced across a 2.50 m wall.

Material, finish and care

Enameled ceramic can be cleaned with a damp cloth and withstands regular wiping. Brass, on the other hand, develops a patina over the months and takes on a deeper shade; a dry cloth is all that is needed, without acidic products that would damage the bare metal. The white version remains stable over time.

Bulb and installation

Pulse takes a 40 W E26 or E27 incandescent bulb, or LED equivalent, not included. As the body measures 13 cm high, check the size of the bulb before purchasing and avoid large decorative globes. The fixed wiring requires the cable to exit through the wall.

Frequently asked questions

What does ceramic offer compared to glass?

A matte surface that diffuses light without creating a sharp reflection. In a bedroom or hallway, this prevents bright spots when passing by the light. Ceramic is also thicker than glass, so it is less transparent: more light shines through the openings in the body.

Is Pulse suitable above a headboard?

Its 13 cm height and 18 cm width remain discreet above a bed, and the matte ceramic does not create direct glare. Install it about 1.20 m above the floor on each side of the bed, or as a single unit centered above the headboard.

Which E27 bulb should I choose for this model?

A 40 W E27 incandescent bulb or an LED with a comparable light output, in warm white to complement the brass. Size matters more than power: measure the available space inside the 13 cm body before choosing a long bulb or large globe.

Will the brass finish darken?

Bare brass changes and gradually darkens, which is part of its character. If you prefer a stable shade, the white version will not change. Regular wiping with a dry cloth slows the development of the brass patina; acidic products, however, will permanently damage it.

Discover more

Browse the full range of wall lights.
