The narrow 20 cm disc fits in a stairwell or between two doors; the 30 cm disc makes a statement above a chest of drawers, headboard, or sofa.

General installation rule: place the centre of the disc approximately 1.50 to 1.65 m above the floor on a walkway, and lower above a headboard so that the diffuser remains within view. As ceramic is a dense material, choose fixings suitable for the type of partition.

Material, finish and care

The body is made of taupe-tinted glazed ceramic, a material that absorbs light and reveals its surface variations. The diffuser is made of white glass. Dust the ceramic with a dry cloth and avoid impacts on the edges of the disc, which are more exposed than the rest of the piece.

Bulb and installation

Ertalila takes a G9 bulb, not included, in LED or filament. The light fixture is wired directly to a 110-240 V power supply: it has no built-in switch and is controlled by an external wall switch, such as a standard push-button switch, sold separately.

Frequently asked questions

Which disc size should I choose?

The 20 by 30 cm size creates a narrow vertical shape, ideal when the wall is busy or the passage is narrow. The 30 by 26 cm size covers more surface area and takes on the appearance of a pebble resting on the wall, making it more visible from the entrance to a room. Both use the same G9 socket.

Which G9 bulb should I use in Ertalila?

A 230 V G9 LED, preferably in warm white, around 2700 to 3000 K, to complement the taupe shade of the ceramic. The white diffuser conceals the light source, so the appearance of the bulb matters little. It is not supplied with the wall light.

Do I need a special switch?

A standard wall switch is suitable: the wall light has no controls of its own and receives power from a circuit controlled from the wall. The manufacturer mentions a standard push-button model. It is not supplied with the light fixture and should be chosen with your electrician.

Is ceramic suitable for a bathroom?

The manufacturer states an IP 20 rating and indoor use away from moisture, which excludes bathrooms and laundry rooms. The ceramic itself is not damaged by water, but the electrical part is not protected against splashes. Reserve Ertalila for dry rooms.

Learn more

Discover more mineral materials in our wall light collection.
