The 18 cm version provides a discreet marker near a door or house number. The 36 cm version highlights a section of wall between two openings. The 50 cm version marks a path, handrail or the top of a low wall.

The cable is not adjustable: the electrical outlet must be positioned exactly at the mounting point, which should be identified before drilling. As a general rule, install it 2 to 2.20 m above the ground on a facade to avoid direct glare, and approximately 1.80 m along a walkway.

Material, finish and maintenance

The body is made of black lacquered metal, and the diffuser is made of acrylic. Acrylic scratches more easily than glass: clean it with soapy water and a soft cloth; never use an abrasive sponge or an alcohol-based cleaner.

Bulb and installation

The manufacturer does not specify a socket or bulb for Yerin: the light source is built into the fixture. It connects to a 110 to 240 V supply and requires assembly during installation. It is not rated as dimmable or compatible with smart controls. Given the claimed IP68 rating and the uncertainty about its intended use, have an electrician check that the electrical connection is properly sealed before installing it in an exposed location.

Frequently asked questions

Can Yerin be installed outdoors?

The manufacturer gives it an IP68 rating and provides an outdoor-oriented description, but its own attribute table lists it for indoor use. This contradiction is present in the product data. Before installing it on a facade, ask our customer service team for confirmation rather than relying solely on the displayed rating.

Which length should I choose: 18, 36 or 50 cm?

The 18 cm version is sufficient for marking a specific point, entrance door or corner. The 36 cm version balances a medium-sized wall and remains clearly visible from several metres away. The 50 cm version is suitable for long, bare walls and walkways, where it creates a continuous line rather than a pool of light.

What does the IP68 rating mean?

The first digit, 6, indicates complete protection against dust. The second, 8, corresponds to prolonged immersion. This is the highest rating commonly displayed on a light fixture. It applies to the housing itself: the electrical connection must be properly installed for the rating to be meaningful.

Can its brightness be adjusted?

No. The technical sheet lists the model as non-dimmable and without smart controls. There is therefore no compatible dimmer or app control. If you install several Yerin lights along a wall, simply place them on two separate switches to adjust the ambiance.

For more options

Compare the compact models in our wall light catalogue.
