The dual diffusion, upwards and downwards, spreads the light along the wall instead of concentrating it.

General installation rule: position the centre of the capsule at around 1.65 m above the floor on either side of a mirror, slightly lower in a bedroom. Allow at least 15 cm between the wall light and the mirror frame.

Material, finish and care

Opal glass is tinted throughout: it diffuses light without revealing the filament and retains its milky appearance even when switched off. The metal band is available in polished chrome, gold and black. Clean the glass with a slightly damp microfibre cloth, with the appliance switched off and unplugged.

Bulb and installation

Two E27 (or E26) bulbs are required, maximum 40 W each, not included. In a closed diffuser, a 5 to 7 W E27 LED in 2700 K provides a warm light and generates little heat in the glass. Nava is compatible with a dimmer when used with dimmable bulbs.

Frequently asked questions

Does Nava light up above and below?

Yes. The capsule has an opal glass diffuser at each end, and each one takes an E27 socket. The light shines up and down the wall, creating two symmetrical halos. This dual diffusion is what makes the model ideal for framing a mirror.

Which Nava finish should I choose?

Chrome complements modern taps and slim-framed mirrors. Gold warms up a light-coloured wall and matches dark woods. Black creates a clean line on white tiles. All three share the exact same opal glass capsule and dimensions.

Is Nava suitable for a bathroom?

The manufacturer states compatibility with wet areas and covered outdoor spaces, but does not provide an IP rating. In France, installation depends on the volumes specified by the NF C 15-100 standard. Without a numerical rating, install Nava outside volumes 1 and 2, and have your electrician confirm the location.

Can Nava be installed horizontally or on the ceiling?

The manufacturer provides for wall or ceiling mounting with integrated wiring. On the ceiling, the capsule becomes a small, downward-facing vertical light, useful in an entrance hall. Horizontal installation is not documented: we do not recommend it without written approval from the manufacturer.

For more inspiration

Discover other glass options in our selection of wall lights.
