The 35 cm version occupies the same height but spreads out more: it is suitable for a living room wall, above a sideboard or fireplace.

General installation rule: at a height of 40 cm, it is best to fix the plate low, around 1.35 m from the floor, so that the top of the stem is not at eye level for a standing person.

Material, finish and care

Light wood is paired with black metal. The stem retains the natural variations of wood, with the colour and grain possibly differing slightly from one piece to another. Wipe the wood and metal with a dry cloth, without water or cleaning products.

Bulb and installation

The wall light takes an E14 bulb, not supplied, with a maximum of 15 W for incandescent or LED equivalent. A flame or small sphere bulb suits the style of the model. As it is hardwired, allow for a cable outlet behind the plate.

Frequently asked questions

Which version should I choose, 12 or 35 cm wide?

Both are 40 cm high. The 12 cm version remains discreet and is easily doubled on either side of a central point. The 35 cm version creates a composition on its own, useful on a large wall that would otherwise look empty with a narrow model.

Which bulb gives the closest candle-like appearance?

An E14 flame-shaped bulb in very warm white, around 2200 to 2500 K, most closely resembles the light of a candle. Stay within the 15 W incandescent limit specified by the manufacturer, which is around 2 W for LED.

Is the wood of the stem treated?

The manufacturer's information specifies the materials, metal and wood, without detailing any particular finish. Treat the stem like ordinary indoor wood: keep it away from moisture, clean it without water, and place the wall light away from a direct heat source such as a radiator or flue.

Is Gracie suitable for a stairwell?

Its 40 cm vertical shape works well there, provided you respect the clear height above the steps. Align several pieces following the slope, at an equal distance from the nosing of the steps, and entrust the electrical connections to a professional.

For more

Discover the light woods in our selection of wall lights.
