The wood forms the body, while the glass completes the design. The silhouette remains minimalist, with no visible arm or joint.

Two shades are available: walnut, which is darker, and wood, which is lighter.

Technical specifications

Diameter: 28 cm

Materials: wood and glass

Body: wood

Available shades: walnut or wood

Socket: G9

Bulb: 10 W incandescent or LED equivalent

Dimming: compatible with a dimmer switch, not included

Installation: fixed wall connection

Where to install this wall light?

A 28 cm disc is visible from a distance: Serena works well on its own on a hallway wall, above a console table, or opposite a double bed. Its low profile makes it suitable for a corridor where a protruding wall light would obstruct the passage.

General installation rule: position the centre of the disc approximately 1.60 m above the floor on a walkway wall, and 1.20 to 1.30 m on either side of a headboard to keep the light source below eye level when seated.

Material, finish and care

The wooden body is available in walnut or wood; the grain varies from one piece to another. Wipe it with a dry cloth in the direction of the grain and avoid standing water. The glass should be cleaned separately with a soft, slightly damp cloth.

Bulb and installation

Serena uses a G9 bulb, 10 W incandescent or LED equivalent. The light fixture is compatible with a dimmer switch, not supplied. The connection is fixed and must be made to a cable outlet, which should be installed by an electrician before fitting the light.

Frequently asked questions

Which G9 bulb is suitable for Serena?

A two-pin G9, 10 W incandescent maximum or LED of equivalent power. G9 bulbs remain compact, which suits the disc's low profile. If you plan to install a dimmer, choose a model specified as dimmable, otherwise flickering is common with this socket.

Should I choose the walnut shade or the wood shade?

The walnut shade is darker and stands out clearly against a white wall. The wood shade remains light and blends into a room with natural tones. Both versions share the 28 cm diameter, G9 socket, and the same wood and glass construction.

Can Serena provide enough light for reading in bed?

It provides ambient light rather than a focused beam, as the disc is fixed and has no adjustable arm. For reading, position it low enough, around 1.20 m above the floor at shoulder height, and use a 10 W equivalent warm white LED G9 bulb controlled by a dimmer.

Does the wood require special care?

Simply dusting it with a dry cloth is sufficient in a dry room. Avoid household products and excessive water, which can damage the finish. Two wall lights from the same batch may have different grain patterns, which is characteristic of the material and not a manufacturing defect.

Learn more

Discover other woods in our wall light catalogue.
