In a bedroom, mounted above a bedside table, it serves as a soft reading light; in a living room, it highlights a section of wall without overwhelming the space.

General installation rule: for use as a reading light, place the diffuser approximately 1.25 to 1.35 m above the floor; for a decorative role in a living room, mount it higher, at around 1.80 m.

Material, finish, and maintenance

The support retains the natural color of the wood, chosen by the manufacturer for its resistance to ambient humidity. Acrylic, however, cannot be cleaned with solvents or powders: a soft, slightly damp cloth followed by a dry wipe helps prevent micro-scratches that dull the diffusion over time.

Bulb and installation

Nothing to screw in: the SMD LED source is integrated, and the color is selected when ordering. The model arrives partially assembled, then connects via cable to a fixed outlet. The manufacturer recommends hiring an electrician for this connection, which must be prepared before attaching the mounting plate.

Frequently asked questions

What does the 3-color version offer?

It provides access to three shades of white instead of just one, allowing the lighting to be adapted to the time of day or the activity. The other two versions are fixed, in warm white or cool white. This choice is made when ordering and cannot be changed after installation.

Small or large format: how to choose?

The large format covers a greater area of the wall and is suitable for a living room or above a double bed. The small format remains discreet above a bedside table or in a hallway. The manufacturer does not publish the dimensions of these two versions, so refer to the dimensional images on the product page.

Can the wood heat up from the LED?

An SMD LED source gives off little heat compared to an incandescent bulb, and here it is separated from the support by the acrylic diffuser. The wood therefore does not heat up during normal use. Simply avoid covering the light with fabric, which would prevent air from circulating.

Can it be installed in a bathroom?

No, the stated rating is IP20, and the product page classifies the model for dry indoor use. Water splashes and steam are not covered, and wood does not tolerate a permanently damp atmosphere well. For a bathroom, choose a model rated at least IP44.

Learn more

Natural materials can also be found in our wall light collection.
