A living room, a staircase or a wide landing suits it well; a narrow bedroom would feel cluttered.

General installation rule: centre the circle at around 1.75 to 1.90 m from the floor depending on the ceiling height, leaving 50 cm of clearance on each side so that the shape can breathe.

Material, finish and maintenance

Wood is combined with the metal and acrylic of the diffuser. The wood and walnut shades play on the warmth of the circle, while black emphasises the graphic lines. A feather duster around the edge and a dry microfibre cloth on the acrylic are enough, without any products.

Bulb and installation

No bulb is required, as the LED is integrated into the circle. Connection is made via direct wiring, to a cable outlet, at 110 to 240 V. Given the diameter, ask that the mounting plate be fixed in a support capable of handling the cantilever.

Frequently asked questions

How much wall space is needed for Grayson?

Allow at least 1.60 m of clear wall width for a 64 cm circle to be properly spaced. Anything less causes the shape to visually touch the corners or furniture, and the effect of the luminous disc is completely lost in favour of a cluttered impression.

Does the light come from the entire circle?

The white acrylic diffuser is the luminous part, framed by the wood and metal. This creates an arc or ring of light rather than a solid disc. The effect is that of a wide ambient light, diffused towards the wall and the room.

Can it be installed on a plasterboard partition?

This is possible with expansion wall plugs suitable for the load, but fixing it to a stud or reinforcement is preferable. A 64 cm light fixture exerts leverage on its anchor points, especially if the partition is hollow and thin.

Which finish to choose depending on the room?

The wood colour blends into a light interior with oak parquet. Walnut warms up a slightly cold white wall. Black transforms the circle into a graphic line and suits a contrasting interior. The dimensions and LED remain the same.

To go further

Compare the large formats in our wall light section.
