On a narrow wall, it can quickly dominate the space; leave plenty of room on either side.

General installation rule: centre it between 1.60 and 1.70 m above the floor on a thoroughfare wall, or lower if it is accompanying a piece of furniture whose top you want to illuminate.

Material, finish and maintenance

The metal and aluminium body has a white finish, with a gold or black detail depending on the version. A matte white finish may show fingerprints during installation: wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth without detergent, which could leave an area shinier than the rest.

Bulb and installation

The stated socket is a two-pin G4, and the bulb is not included. Check the voltage of the G4 bulb you purchase: these bulbs are available in 12 V and 230 V versions. The light fixture is hardwired for 110–240 V and connects to a cable outlet, and is controlled by a standard wall switch, not included.

Frequently asked questions

Which finish should I choose?

White only almost disappears on a light-coloured wall, leaving only the light visible. White and gold warms up the overall look and complements gold-toned interiors. White and black provides a sharper graphic line. All three versions share the same dimensions, socket and rated power.

Is ten watts a lot?

This is the power rating stated by the manufacturer for this model. On an LED base, ten watts provides comfortable accent lighting, sufficient for a thoroughfare or a living room wall. The lumen output is not stated, so we cannot provide an exact equivalent.

Do I need to plan for a cable outlet?

Yes. Luna is stated as being hardwired: it has neither a cord nor a plug and must be permanently connected. The wall switch that controls it is not included. If your wall does not have a cable outlet, you should factor in the cost of an electrician.

Is Luna suitable for a bathroom?

No. The stated rating is IP20, meaning it is not waterproof and is intended for dry indoor use only. Bathrooms and laundry rooms require a higher rating and compliance with regulatory spacing requirements. Install it in a living room, bedroom, study or hallway.

For more options

Compare simple volumes in our wall light catalogue.
