Its vintage look comes from its compact shape and exposed metal.

Two sizes are available: one very small and the other slightly wider, both with an E27 socket.

Technical specifications

Small size: 12.5 cm long, 5.5 cm wide, 12.5 cm high

Large size: 12 cm long, 14 cm wide, 21 cm high

Body: aluminium

Colour: aluminium colour

Socket: E27 (listed as E26 or E27 by the manufacturer)

Bulb: not included

Where to install this wall light?

The small size protrudes only 5.5 cm from the wall: it fits into a narrow staircase, along a landing, or in a row in a service corridor. The large size, 21 cm high, holds its own against a wide wall and can light up a bedroom.

General installation rule: for lighting up a staircase, a low mounting height of around 1.10 m above the stair tread illuminates the steps without glare. In a corridor, mount it higher, at around 1.70 m, and space the lights 1.50 to 2 m apart for even illumination.

Material, finish and care

The aluminium is left in its original colour. This metal remains lightweight, making it easy to attach to a partition. For maintenance, a dry microfibre cloth is sufficient; avoid abrasive creams, which scratch the aluminium surface and leave visible matte marks under grazing light.

Bulb and installation

Ode takes an E27 screw-in bulb, not included. The manufacturer states E26 or E27 compatibility: in France, choose an E27, the common standard in stores. For the small size, a compact bulb is preferable, as the body is 12.5 cm high and leaves little available space.

Frequently asked questions

Which of the two sizes should I choose?

The small size measures 12.5 cm long by 5.5 cm wide: choose it for a narrow passage or for mounting in a row. The large size is 14 cm wide and 21 cm high, so it stands out more on the wall. Both take the same screw-in socket.

Will an E26 work with this wall light?

The manufacturer states an E26 or E27 socket, two very similar screw sizes. On the French market, the bulbs sold are E27: choose those, they screw in without an adapter. The E26 designation corresponds to the North American standard and does not affect your purchase here.

Which bulb gives a vintage look?

A filament LED in 2200 or 2500 K produces an amber light close to that of old bulbs. It complements Ode's raw metal. For the small size, check the bulb's dimensions before ordering: a large filament globe will protrude from the 12.5 cm high body.

Can I install several on the same wall?

Yes, and the small size is well suited to this with its 5.5 cm protrusion. Allow for one cable outlet per wall light and a common switch if you want to turn them on together. Regular spacing of 1.50 to 2 m creates a clear rhythm in a corridor or up a flight of stairs.

For more

Discover the other metal finishes in our wall light collection.
