The lacquered aluminum body stands out clearly against a white wall.

General installation rule: in a walkway, space two wall lights of this size approximately 2 m apart, with the center at 1.70 m above the floor; above a console, lower it to around 1.50 m.

Material, finish, and maintenance

Oven-baking sets the lacquer on the aluminum: the color resists light impacts better than simple paint. The gold parts, achieved through electroplating and then polished, require more care. A dry cloth is sufficient for routine maintenance, and abrasive sponges should be avoided on the shiny metal.

Bulb and installation

An E27 bulb is required, not included, with a maximum of 40 W. The E26 designation refers to the same socket on the North American market. No driver is required: the light fixture connects directly to a fixed cable outlet. Two kilograms can be mounted without any special reinforcement in a solid wall.

Frequently asked questions

Which height should I choose, 27.5 or 35 cm?

The width remains 18 cm in both cases: only the height changes. The 27.5 cm version is suitable for a narrow hallway or a small bedroom wall. The 35 cm version holds up better against a tall space, a stairwell, or a high-ceilinged living room.

Black and gold or white and gold?

Both finishes are available in each height. The black and gold version creates a sharp contrast on a light-colored wall and defines the outline of the light fixture. The white and gold version remains discreet on pale paint. The shade follows the main color, black or white depending on the version.

What bulb should I install in Noirra?

An E27 with a maximum of 40 W, purchased separately. A 7 to 9 W LED is suitable for accent lighting; in warm white, around 2700 K, it warms up the gold parts. Check the dimmable label on the packaging if you wish to be able to vary the intensity later.

Does the aluminum get very hot?

With a few-watt E27 LED, the heat produced remains low and the aluminum dissipates it quickly. The body becomes warm, not hot. With a filament bulb close to the authorized 40 W, the temperature rises further: then let the wall light cool down before handling or cleaning.

To learn more

Compare the black finishes in our wall light catalog.
