Its ten centimetres of width keep it discreet in a corridor.

General installation rule: centre the short version at around 1.60 m from the floor; for the long versions, start from the bottom at around 1 m and let the tube extend upwards.

Material, finish and maintenance

Alabaster is a translucent and soft stone: each tube features unique cloudy veining, so that no two Alraei are ever identical. Clean the stone with a dry cloth, without water or household products. The brass, in a gold or black finish, is dusted with a soft cloth.

Bulb and installation

The LED is integrated into the tube: no socket or bulb is required, the entire column lights up as a single unit. Connection is made to a fixed cable outlet, which must be prepared before installation. For mounting details and a possible dimmable version, please refer to the instructions or contact our customer service.

Frequently asked questions

Which tube length should I choose?

One head and 35 cm are suitable above a light switch or near a mirror; two heads and 70 cm dress a wall or a door frame; three heads and 105 cm fit in a high entrance hall or a stairwell. All three versions share the same width of 10 cm.

Do I need to provide a bulb for Alraei?

No. The LED is integrated into the alabaster tube: there is no socket or bulb to buy, the light shines directly through the stone. If you need to work on the module, please contact our customer service rather than opening the profile, which is not designed to be dismantled.

Brass or black: which finish should I choose?

Gold brass warms the stone and suits classic or cosy interiors. Black creates a graphic outline and suits contemporary interiors. In both cases, it is the alabaster that diffuses the light; the finish only changes the visible metal frame of the tube.

Are two Alraei tubes identical?

No. Alabaster is a natural stone whose veining varies from block to block. If you install two wall lights side by side, they will share the same shape, height and finish, but their stone pattern will remain different. This is a characteristic of the material, not a defect.

For more

Explore the translucent stones in our wall light catalogue.
