The 50 cm model occupies a large section of a wall on its own, in a living room or along a staircase; in pairs, it frames a fireplace or double doors. The 25.5 cm model is ideal beside a bed, in an entrance hall or between two doors, where a shorter volume is sufficient.

General installation rule: aim for the centre of the light fixture to be around 1.65 m above the floor in a living area, lower beside a bed. With the tall version, measure the remaining clearance under the ceiling before drilling.

Material, finish and maintenance

Alabaster is a soft stone: its veining varies from one block to another, and the manufacturer states that the piece received will not exactly reproduce the photos. Two items placed side by side will therefore have two different patterns. Wipe a dry cloth over the stone, without water or detergent, and the same soft cloth over the brass, which develops a patina over time.

Bulb and installation

There is no bulb to buy: the LED is integrated into the light fixture. The manufacturer states that it is incompatible with wall dimmers, so do not connect it to a circuit that has already been dimmed. The wall light connects to a wall cable outlet, with the circuit breaker switched off.

Frequently asked questions

Can Lylaearis be connected to a dimmer?

No, not as it is. The manufacturer states that the integrated LED does not accept wall dimmers: connected to a dimmed circuit, it may flicker or be damaged. If dimming is essential to you, ask our customer service team before ordering to check the possible solutions.

Should I choose the 25.5 cm or 50 cm version?

The diameter does not change, only the length of the stone varies. Choose the short version for beside a bed, an entrance hall or a wall divided by doors. The 50 cm version requires an unobstructed wall: it is designed for living rooms, stairwells and high ceilings, where its verticality is truly apparent.

Will the two wall lights in a pair be identical?

They will have the same shape, finish and height, but not the same veining. Alabaster is extracted in blocks, each with its own shades and lines. This is a characteristic of natural stone, which the manufacturer explicitly mentions, and not a manufacturing defect.

What does the black finish change compared to brass?

The diffuser remains white alabaster in both cases: it is the frame that changes. Brass warms up the whole and matches the golden tones of a room. The black version creates a sharp outline around the stone and suits dark woodwork or very light walls better.

For more

Other translucent stones await you in our wall light collection.
