Four G9 sockets illuminate the room from inside the blossom, which diffuses and distributes the light.

It measures 35 cm in diameter and 50 cm high, in gold and white, and plugs into a socket.

Technical specifications

Dimensions: 35 cm diameter, 50 cm high

Body: metal

Materials: metal and acrylic

Colour: gold and white

Power supply: plug-in

Sockets: four G9

Bulbs: four 5 W incandescent bulbs or LED equivalent, not included

Dimming: compatible with a dimmer, not included

Where to install this wall light?

Thirty-five centimetres in diameter and fifty high: Aurean occupies the wall like a painting. It requires a clear section of wall, above a sofa, in a stairwell, or on the wall of a tall entrance hall. The plug allows it to be placed without creating a focal point of light.

General installation rule: centre it at around 1.70 m from the floor on a living room wall, and plan the route of the cable to the socket before drilling the fixings.

Material, finish and care

Acrylic scratches and clouds easily: use a barely damp microfibre cloth, never alcohol, ammonia or glass cleaner. The petals collect dust on their edges, which a soft brush can easily remove. The metal frame can be wiped dry.

Bulb and installation

Four pin G9 bulbs, not supplied: plan for LED equivalents to the stated 5 W per socket. With four light sources, the total power remains modest, but the distribution is wide. The wall light plugs into a socket, without any work on the electrical circuit.

Frequently asked questions

How many bulbs are needed?

Four, with G9 bases, not supplied. The manufacturer rates them at 5 W for incandescent bulbs, or approximately 1 W per LED equivalent. Buy them identical and at the same time: slightly different shades would be clearly visible through a white acrylic blossom.

What does a plug-in wall light mean?

It comes with a plug and cable and connects to an ordinary wall socket. No electrical work is required, only the wall fixings need to be installed. The cable remains visible: plan its route, or use a cable management channel along the skirting board.

Is Aurean suitable for a bedroom?

Its size is better suited to reception rooms, where a clear wall highlights it. In a bedroom, it would work well on a large section of wall rather than above the headboard, where its fifty centimetres of height and four light sources would be too prominent.

Can it be operated with a dimmer?

The manufacturer states it is compatible, but the dimmer is not included. On a plug-in wall light, use an in-line dimmer on the cable. Choose G9 LEDs that are explicitly dimmable, otherwise they will flicker or refuse to turn on at the lower end of the range.

For more

Explore the floral shapes in our wall light catalogue.
